Murmansk region in Arctic Russia is simply like no where else on planet Earth, so expect everything on our amazing off-road expeditions!

This is the place you’ve dreamt about every time you went green-laning, this is what every modification you ever put on your truck is for... it’s Europe’s last true wilderness and is pure off-roading heaven! During our off-road expeditions you’ll tackle every type of off-road terrain imaginable; mud, rocks, sand, log bridges, river crossings, routes that take you into the sea, many days, without seeing a spot of tarmac ... maybe even some snow!

This is something that other off-roaders only dream about... staying deep in the forest. Totally self-sufficient. Camping wild, spending every night in a tent in the woods, gathering firewood, cooking on campfires, fishing for our dinner. Proving our claim that this truly is the ultimate off-roading expedition! Out of the first town there are no houses with drainage, electricity or running water, so you will go a couple of days without a shower. On the tracks we have a couple log cabins on the White Sea shore, an amazing traditional turf-covered Sami dome house, a large wooden lodge in the forest, and some houses of locals with sauna’s, but most the nights it is wild camping out in the pristine wilderness. We’ll have leisurely lunch stops where we’ll build a fire in the woods.

These expeditions will take you to incredibly beautiful landscapes, to mysterious places like a Mesolithic stone labyrinth and to "Kuiva the Giant"; a gigantic figure impressed on a rock and considered sacred by the Saami, to the macabre cities of the industrial era of the Soviet Union to do some shopping on the go, to the remains of the Cold War, to the remains of Stalin era penal camps (gulag) and much more.

All Off-road Expeditions end in Worlds biggest city above the Arctic Circle: Murmansk. From there you can continue in all directions, to Finland, to the North Cape or to Saint Petersburg. For more details, please contact us.

Many people wonder if their vehicles are capable enough for this tour or worry that the routes will cause damage, but although this is a very rough tour with many challenging trails, vehicles do not have to be tricked-up to the hilt.
On the moderate rated off-road expedition most standard 4x4 cars and (camper)trucks will cope fine with everything that we come across, as you can see if you look through the slides of our previous tours, we’ve had L200’s, Hilux’s, GL’s, Navarra’s, Defender’s, Discovery’s, Landcruiser’s a.s.o.

We even organise this expedition for participants with endoro motorcycles. During the enduro motor expeditions baggage and fuel transport is arranged so that the participants can enjoy themselves freely.

On the expeditions with rating hard and extreme can only participate well-prepared 4x4 cars and light 4x4 trucks.

All the driving is slow and controlled and you will have the full attention of the guides on the trip. Each day we will give you detailed briefing of the coming routes and if you are not happy to tackle the route we will find you an easier alternative.

You can choose from 5 different expeditions based on 3 routes. Each expedition consists of several parts like the White Sea part, Khibiny Tundra, Lovozero Tundra and the "Lost World" part. Your guide will drive his own 4x4 truck/car and assist you on technical passages. The truck/car carries will be used as try-out by crossing rivers and difficult passages, for carrying additional luggage, common tools for possible repairs and for participants who want to experience the "real deep" Kola Peninsula as a passenger.

If you want to be part of one of the ultimate off-roading tours but don't have time for the 3-day drive there and back, or don't think you have a capable enough 4x4 then you can fly out and rent a 4x4 car (Mitsubishi Pajero or Nissan Patrol) from us OR have a seat in the "4x4 bus", an army troop carrier which has absolutely astounding off-road capabilities and with the aircraft seats in the back is really comfortable to travel in!! What's more, the costs are the same per person as coming in your own vehicle!

The price includes: guide/translation service, support service by 4x4 car/truck. The price does not include: accommodations, meals, fuel, vehicle costs, entrance fees for museums a.s.o, repatriation costs, visa inviations and insurances.

Le voyage de longue distance vers la péninsule de Kola et la conduite hors route sont considérés comme des conditions de conduite difficiles pour votre véhicule. Par conséquent, nous vous recommandons de prendre soin de votre véhicule avant le départ, s'il n'est pas en parfait état, les nombreux jours sur un terrain difficile ne le rendront pas meilleur.

Nous proposons des expéditions tout-terrain modérées, difficiles/lourdes et extrêmes. Ce sont les exigences minimales:

• Transmission : Chaque véhicule 4x4 nécessite une boîte de transfert, des vitesses réduites et un blocage de différentiel central.
• Pneus de rechange : vous devez également déterminer les pièces que vous souhaitez transporter, car les pièces de rechange dans cette partie du monde ne sont certainement pas facilement disponibles.
• Type de pneus : Les pneus route NE SONT PAS suffisants pour les conditions. Vous avez besoin d'au moins pneus «tout - terrain» (A /T ).
• Protection du soubassement : De nombreux rochers et troncs se cachent dans la boue. Alors pensez à une sorte de protection différentielle générale et du guidage automatique.
• Récupération - Équipement de remorquage : Vous aurez besoin d’un équipement de récupération - Remorquage à l’avant et à l’arrière.
• Schnorkel (tube) dans les véhicules : pour une conduite tout – terrain MOYENNE, une immersion en apnée (Schnorkel, tube) dans les véhicules n’est pas nécessaire, mais préférable. Pour les randonnées tout – terrain DIFFICILES et EXTRÊMEMENT exigeantes, un véhicule avec tuba est nécessaire.
• Treuil : Un treuil n'est pas nécessaire pour les randonnées tout - terrain MODÉRÉES, mais préférable. Votre guide a un treuil. Les circuits tout - terrain DIFFICILES et EXTRÊMEMENT nécessitent un treuil qui fonctionne bien.
• Cric : Pour les trajets tout - terrain MOYENS, un cric n'est pas nécessaire, mais préférable. Votre guide a un cric hi-lift. Pour les randonnées tout terrain DIFFICILES et EXTRÊMEMENT exigeantes, un cric est nécessaire.
• Plaques de sable : vous n'en avez besoin que dans de rares cas. Si vous avez de la place dans votre voiture, pourquoi ne pas la prendre avec vous.
• Carburant supplémentaire : Si votre véhicule a un petit réservoir ou est trop « assoiffé » , vous aurez besoin de quelques bidons d'essence. Pour chaque circuit tout - terrain, vous avez une autonomie moindre de 600 km en basse vitesse et en mode 4x4.
• Aide ou assistance mécanique : nous pouvons réparer de petites erreurs mécaniques en cours de route. Le guide présente les outils les plus courants sur les voitures des services et constitue donc un bon "mécanicien de brousse". Cependant, le transport des outils spéciaux et des pièces de rechange incombe à chaque participant. En cas d’une accident mécanique grave, nous nous efforçons de vous amener jusqu’au garage pour dépanner ou dans le pire de cas jusqu'à la frontière. Naturellement ce n'est pas simplement un cadeau du service, mais sans question nous allons essayer de vous aider aussi bien que nous le pouvons.
• Assurance : L’assurance responsabilité civile automobile (dommages matériels uniquement) est obligatoire pour la conduite sur le territoire russe. Si votre assurance ne couvre pas la Fédération de la Russie (vérifiez votre carte verte), nous pouvons vous fournir - moyennant de frais - une assurance supplémentaire contre les dommages. Bien entendu, une « assurance rapatriement » est obligatoire pour participer à nos circuits tout - terrain. (Off-road – Tours).
• Autre : vous aurez besoin d’une trousse de secours, d’un triangle de présignalisation et d’un petit extincteur pour traverser l’Europe et la Russie.
